 | ＜p＞Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Film und Fernsehen, Note: 1,3, Universit?t Leipzig (Institut f?r Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Theorie und Praxis der Dramaturgie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der im Jahr 2010 ver?ffentlichte US-amerikanische Psycho-Thriller Shutter Island ist einer der finanziell erfolgreichsten Regie-Darbietungen des amerikanischen Regisseurs Martin Scorsese. Mit einem gesch?tzten Brutto-Umsatz von 127.968.405 Millionen Dollar allein in den USA reiht sich die Geschichte rund um den US-Marshall Edward - 'Teddy' - Daniels in die obere Liga der Hollywood-Filme des Jahres 2010 ein. Eine Besonderheit des Filmes ist die darin angewendete Erz?hlweise: Die unzuverl?ssige Erz?hlung. Diese Erz?hlform geh?rt zu den Erz?hlm?glichkeiten des postklassischen Hollywood und soll den Zuschauer bewusst auf eine falsche F?hrte locken. Sie soll dem Film somit eine Art Doppeldeutigkeit verleihen. Innerhalb dieser Arbeit wird diese Form der Erz?hlung und das ?berraschende Filmende - der so genannten last act twist - n?her beleuchtet. In Zusammenhang mit dieser Zielsetzung geht die Ausarbeitung der Frage nach der wahren Identit?t der Hauptfigur einher. Zudem soll die Analyse kl?ren, warum das Ende in Shutter Island als last act twist bezeichnet werden kann, obwohl es zun?chst so scheint, als w?re die Identit?t des Protagonisten Edward Daniels letztlich aufgel?st. Es wird somit untersucht, welche offensichtlichen und indirekten Hinweise und Zeichen im Filmverlauf auf Doppelidentit?t der Hauptfigur hindeuten. Gibt es eventuell zwei Erz?hlebenen - ?hnlich wie in The Sixth Sense (1999) - und wenn ja, wie werden diese in der Erz?hlung miteinander verwoben, beziehungsweise in die Erz?hlung eingebaut, sodass M?glichkeiten der Mehrfachinterpretation gegeben sind? Bevor sich diese Arbeit jedoch der narrativen Filmanalyse von Shutter Island zuwendet, wird vorab noch auf die Filmanalyse als Methodik eingegangen, um auch die Vorgehensweise in dieser Ausarbeitung transparenter zu gestalten. Anschlie?end werden wichtige theoretische Grundlagen, Begrifflichkeiten und die Arbeitshypothesen erl?utert. Die Erlebnisse und Beziehungen der Bewohner der Stadt nehmen einen gro?en Teil der Handlung ein. Jedoch bildet der rote Faden der Serie eine spannende Kriminalgeschichte. Ebenso erhielt die Fernsehserie Lost positive Kritiken aufgrund ihrer gut miteinander harmonierenden Mischung aus Abenteuer und Drama. Insbesondere basiert der Erfolg auf der spannenden Handlung und den komplexen Charaktere mit all ihren Geheimnissen und Problemen. Jedoch soll der Fokus in dieser Arbeit auf das Mysteri?se in den beiden Serien gelegt werden. Twilight Zone war 1959 die erste Serie, welche auf ?bernat?rlichen Mysterien basierte. Darauf folgende Serien in diesem Format wie zum Beispiel Outer Limits, welche 1963 anlief, waren jedoch nicht sehr erfolgreich. Erst die Serie Twin Peaks, welche 1990 bis 1992 ausgestrahlt wurde, konnte gro?e Erfolge feiern und ebnete mit ihren besonderen Mysterien den Weg f?r popul?re Ph?nomene wie Akte X, worin fast alle Kriminalf?lle etwas mit einem ?bernat?rlichen Ereignis zu tun haben. Des Weiteren zeigt die Serie, dass auch Mystery mit anderen Genres gut zusammenspielen kann und nicht den Hauptteil einer Geschichte ausmachen muss. Denn in Twin Peaks sind die ?bernat?rlichen Ereignisse nur nebens?chliche narrative Bausteine. Ebenso unterscheiden sich in Lost die Geheimnisse zu Serien wie Akte X und beeinflussen die narrativen Strukturen in ihrer eigenen Art und Weise. Ausgehend von der eben geschilderten Basis sollen nun in dieser Arbeit die Mystery-Elemente und deren Besonderheiten von Twin Peaks und Lost analysiert und charakterisiert werden. Inwiefern unterscheiden sich diese in den beiden Serien beziehungsweise wie haben sich diese in Lost im Gegensatz zu Twin Peaks weiterentwickelt? Welchen Einfluss haben diese auf die narrative Struktur und das Spannungserleben der Serien? Inwiefern beeinflussen sie das Serienformat und binden den Rezipienten an die Serie? Damit in Zusammenhang soll Mystery und inwiefern sich dessen Besonderheiten in Serien ?u?ern beschrieben werden.
